Kali Gandaki River Rafting

The Kali Gandaki is one of the famous Himalayan rivers in Nepal. The river, which originates from the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, passes through the scenic mountain beds of Mustang, Myagdi and other districts. Passing through an arid open valley in Mustang and other areas, the river flows into the Trishuli river. Named after the goddess Kali, the holy river has the world’s deepest gorge between Mt. Daulagiri (8167m) to the west and Mt. Annapurna I (8091m) to the east.

The beautiful river swings south through areas, where tourists were almost unknown until some years in the past, after the river merges with its tributary-- the Modi Khola. One can have scenic view of the mountain ranges, hills and rural settlements while experiencing whitewater rafting in the river.
As the riverside is quite rich in biodiversity, the area is rewarding for lovers of birds and wildlife. Many species of wildlife such as mongoose, monkey, leopard, among others, can be seen there. The rafting is suitable for both the beginners and the experienced one. Such variety can nowhere be found within a short span of time.

There are some options for the guests after completing this rafting. One can either drive or fly back to Kathmandu or drive to the Chitwan National Park or can go for trekking in the Annapurna Region.
