Nagarkot Bhaktapur Dhulikhel Biking

For mountain bikers looking for a peaceful ride, the road leading from Bhaktapur to Dhulikhel, a hill resort 32 km east of Kathmandu, is simply terrific. The highway hardly sees any traffic and the view is magnificent. Dhulikhel can also be approached from Banepa, 4 km east of Dhulikhel, and Nala, 4 km northwest of Banepa. Further hiking to Panauti, three hours south of Dhulikhel, is possible. A day’s walk to Namobuddha is also a lot of fun.

Nagarkot is popular tourist resort of Nepal .It is a situated 32 km east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2,175 m above sea level .The panorama of the major peaks of the eastern Nepal Himalaya includes Sagarmatha (Mt Everest) can be seen from here. Nagarkot is famous for sunrise and sunset view.

Itinerary:


Day 01: After breakfast, start biking via Bhaktapur to Dhulikhel, visit this ancient historical and cultural city on the way to Bhaktapur. Golden gate at Durbar Square, museum, Nyatapola temple, pottery square, woodcarving center and peacock window are the main attraction. After the Bhaktapur sightseeing biking to Dhulikhel, evening sunset and morning sunrise with panoramic views.

Day 02: After breakfast, sightseeing around Dhulikhel and biking towards Namobuddha, visiting cultural religious sites nearby and stay overnight. Namobuddha is one of the popular Buddhist religious sites in Nepal.

Day 03: After breakfast, start biking towards Kathmandu, on the way visit Panauti, it is an ancient historical & cultural city and back to Kathmandu.

Day 04: After breakfast, start biking to Nagarkot, transfer to hotel, biking tour around, great views of snow capped mountains with beautiful sunrise and sunset.

Day 05: Cycling down to Changunarayan temple, visit oldest temple of Nepal after that go to Bhaktapur, visit Golden gate at Durbar Square, museum, Nyatapola temple, pottery square, woodcarving center and peacock window and back to Kathmandu.
