Mardi Himal Trek

Mardi Himal is considered to be an ideal place for trekking and mountaineering in Nepal. It is an easy trek, no previous experience of high altitude is necessary. No doubt, a trek to Mardi Himal takes you into one of the most untouched areas of the Himalayas. Located in the east of the Modi Khola, Mardi Himal is separated from Machhapuchhre ridge by a col (5,200m. /17,060 ft.) and reaches the summit via the route on its east flank. One can find few villages along the trail and the trekkers are required to walk through the forests. The trek provides wilderness that culminates with spectacular close up view of Machhapuchare - the 'Fishtail Mountain'.

 Itinerary :
Day 01:
Kathmandu (1320m)
Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). Upon arrival, our staff will receive you with welcome garland and transfer to hotel.
Day 02:
Kathmandu
We would go for sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. We would visit the World Heritage Sites located in the valley. Besides, we would also visit the major places of the valley. Overnight in a resort at Nagarkot. Nagarkot is famous for sun rise and sun set view. One can have closer view of Himalayas as well in a clear day.
Day 03:
Kathmandu to Pokhara (960m)
We take early flight from Kathmandu or drive to Pokhara. Overnight in a hotel.Lunch will be served on the way.
Day 04:
Pokhara (960m) to Dhamphus (1600m)
Having breakfast in the hotel, we commence our trek. Lunch will be served on the way. Overnight in a teahouse at Dhamphus.
Day 05:
Dhamphus to Forest Camp/ Low Camp (2550m)
Breakfast would be served in the teahouse and we start our trek. We take lunch on the way. Overnight in the tent at Forest Camp.
Day 06:
Low Camp to High Camp (5000m +)
Today we trek from Low Camp to High Camp. Overnight in tent.
Day 07:
High Camp to Low Camp and then to Sidding Village (1750m)
From High Camp, we trek down to Low Camp and then to Sidding Village. Overnight in the tent at Sidding Village.
Day 08:
Sidding Village to Mardi Bridge (1160m)
Having breakfast at Sidding Village, we proceed towards Mardi Bridge. Overnight at Mardi Bridge.
Day 09:
Mardi Bridge to Pokhara
It is our turn to trek to Pokhara. If time permits, we would go for sightseeing. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 10:
Pokhara to Kathmandu
We would either take flight or drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, we would be transferred to hotel. In the evening, a farewell dinner would be served at Bhojan Griha, the delights of Nepali cuisine.

Bhojan Griha is one of the exclusive Nepali restaurants in the valley which serves the very best of traditional, organic and ethnic cuisine of Nepal. The grand old building which was built almost 150 years ago has been renovated and converted into a fascinating restaurant with intricate décor, subtle setting and nostalgic atmosphere. Traditional folk music and dances are performed in full costume every evening over savory meals. No doubt, to dine at Bhojan Griha is a cultural rejuvenation.

 Price Includes:
  • All ground transportation, all meals during the trek (Breakfast, lunch, dinner with tea/coffee), Camping equipments (tents, dining tents, kitchen tents, toilet tents, sleeping bags, mattresses), a guide, a cook, cook helper, porter, other helping staff, entry permits, all necessary requirements for Nepalese staff (meals, insurance, equipments, ground transportation etc.
 
Price Excludes:
  • Any bar bills (alcoholic drinks, mineral water, cold drinks), cigarettes, clients personal insurance, any kind of unforeseen expenses etc.
Note: The departure schedule can be changed on any unavoidable circumstances such as weather hazards, trail slides, and avalanches.
