Mount Lhoste is the fourth highest mountain in the world with its height 8,516m. Lhotse, which means 'south peak', is a part of the Everest massif, lying just south to the Everest. Lhotse was climbed by a Swiss Expedition in 1956. Lhotse Shar, 8383m, is sometimes considered a Separate 8000m peak, however, it is the lowest peak of Mount Lhotse.The primary route of Lhotse is via Everest's South Col. Lhotse is regarded as the least climbing activity of any 8000m peak in Nepal. Similarly, Lhotse Sar was first climbed by an Austrian expedition in 1970. There was no definite route in the region before 1977. It was the German Expedition who had established the comfortable route to summit the peak in the year 1977.
Itinerary :
Day 01:
Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel, overnight in the hotel
Day 02-03:
Sightseeing in Kathmandu on the 2nd day and preparation for the expedition on the 3rd
Day 04:
We take our early flight to Lukla (2800m), and trek to Phakding (2640m), overnight in a local lodge
Day 05:
Today, trek to Namche Bazaar (3446m), overnight in a lodge
Day 06:
After having food at Namche Bazar, we trek to Khumjung (3790m), overnight in a local lodge
Day 07:
We rest at Khumjung for acclimatization. In the afternoon, we go around Khumjung to adapt with the local environment, overnight in a lodge
Day 08:
Having food at Khumjung, we trek to Tengboche Monastery (3867m), overnight in a lodge
Day 09:
From Tengboche, we trek to Dingboche (4347m), overnight in a lodge
Day 10:
It is our turn to go to Lobuche (4900m), overnight in a local lodge
Day 11:
Trek to Everest Base Camp (5357m), overnight in the camp
Day 12-47:
Climbing Period.
Day 48:
Cleaning up Base Camp
Day 49:
From the BC, we trek to Dingboche, overnight in a lodge
Day 50:
After having lunch, we trek to Khumjung, overnight in a local lodge
Day 51:
Today, we trek to Phakding, overnight in a local lodge.
Day 52:
After having food at Phakding, we trek to Lukla. Overnight in a lodge
Day 53:
We take our flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. Transfer to the hotel
Day 54:
Full day sightseeing and shopping in Kathmandu, farewell dinner party in the evening and overnight in the hotel
Day 55:
Back home destination
