Panch Pokhari Trek

There are many unexplored and unidentified trekking routes in Nepal waiting to be discovered. Due to large concentrations and over exploitation, the old trekking regions like Langtang, Annapurna, and Sagarmatha have suffered a heavy impact both environmentally and socially. So, we would like to offer new areas and routes with totally pristine nature, unspoiled culture, and splendid scenes of the Himalayan range from the closest distance possible. The good hospitality of the local people could make your trek quite interesting and memorable. Named after 5 holy ponds of great religious significance in the north-eastern part of Sindhupalchowk district, Panch Pokhari area is one of the new and unspoilt trekking destinations in Nepal. The route offers a beautiful Himalayan view and pristine nature with distinct culture. Panch Pokhara is situated at an elevation of about 4,100 metres above sea level. This is a famous Hindu pilgrimage site in Nepal. A panoramic view of Mt. Jugal Himal (m), Rolwaling Range and other scenic sites can be seen from Panch Pokhara. The exciting nature trek starts from Chautara (1,450m.), the district headquarters of Sindhupalchowk district.

In some places, the route passes through villages and settlements of different ethnic people like Tamangs, Newars, Sherpas, Brahmins, Chhetris, and Gurungs. Since teahouses are not available along the route, camping trek is operated. Most part of the route is entirely free of human settlement. Panch Pokhari is one of the less explored trekking routes.
