The thundering waters originating from the glaciers of the mighty Himalaya provide unmatched thrills for rafting and immersing oneself in the perennial rivers of Nepal. Among the various rivers, the Seti River has its own popularity in the field of whitewater rafting. The warm and beautiful Seti River passes through dense jungle, green hills and valleys. The riversides are also an excellent spot for bird watchers. During the monsoon, its swollen rapids provide an exciting and unique taste for the experienced rafters and kayakers. Relatively, the river is small in water volume. Hence, it is suitable for the beginners. Damauli, the put-in point for the Seti River, is situated at a distance of five hours drive from Kathmandu. Similarly, one can reach the take-out point at Gaighat within 4-5 hours’ drive from Kathmandu.
